Johannes Andersen:

Designed for many factories in the Copenhagen area.

Poul Henningsen:

Most famous for his PH pendant lamps which were produced in a variety of colors and styles.

Arne Jacobsen:

World famous for the Swan chair and Egg chair and a multitude of other designs.

Grethe Jalk:

Studied at Copenhagen Art Academy and designed for Fritz Hansen and many other renown manufacturers.

Finn Juhl:

His architecture designs were used at the United Nations and at the SAS Hotel in Copenhagen.  He introduced Danish Modern to America!

Kai Kristensen:

Designed everything from desks to bar-cabinets.  His wall-mounted shelving units are much desired.

Hans Wegner:

His chairs are truly works of art.  PaPa Bear, Swan, Ox, and the listgoes on and on.

Illum Wikkelso:

From sofa and chairs to coffee tables, his designs won many medals and awards and are a delight to the eye.



Borge Mogensen:

Trained at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts.  He produced classical, yet simple highly functional furniture.

Hans Olsen:

Known for being experimental with both form and materials.  Designed for many famous furniture manufacturers.

Poul Volther:

Studied and taught at Denmark's Design School.  He is most known for his Corona chair, but also designed a wide variety of armchairs and sofas.

Verner Panton:

During his career he created futuristic and innovative designs.  He used a variety of materials,  especially plastics, in vibrant colors.  The S chair became his most famous design.

Arne Vodder:

Trained by Finn Juhl, Vodder was an architect and built homes prior to designing furniture.  His furniture did well in the American market and in the 1960's reached the White House.

Gunni Omann:

Designed many credenzas desks and dining tables.

Ole Wanscher:

A leading figure in the Scandinavian Mid-Century Design Movement. He produced dozens of designs that are now considered modern classics.
